Our Story

Started in 2014, Holyoke Hummus Company began as a food truck and catering company serving falafel, hummus, and other Middle Eastern treats.

Our food truck, The Great Garbanzo, spent a decade on the road — music festivals, community events, food truck festivals, private parties — bringing scratch-made hummus and falafel straight to the people who wanted it. We catered birthday parties, engagement parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, kiddush lunches, and corporate events of every size, vegetarian and kosher style.

Now you don't have to find the truck to get the flavor.

After ten years on the road, we took everything we learned about what makes hummus actually good — and put it on a shelf near you. Our Hummus Flavored Hummus is now available at retailers throughout New England, so you can get that same fun, that same flavor, without waiting in line at a festival.

You don't have to know our food truck to know a good thing when you taste it. Add some fun to your hummus selection.

Who are we?

We are John and Dawn, happily living in Holyoke with our 3 kids. We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we're serious about good food. We're lucky to work with an amazing group of people who help make this happen — from the truck days to the shelf today.
